Treatment

• sucralfate enema

• short chain fatty acid enema for acute proctitis

• Colonoscopy with APC

  • risk of fistulization with biopsies

• Formalin topical application

  • not first line given risk of stricture

• No benefit from:

  • 5 ASA

  • octreotide
